testcase for LDT

We've recently compiled the LISF executables (LDT, LIS, & LVT) and I am running the testcase for LDT (https://lis.gsfc.nasa.gov/tests/lis) and encountered the following error:

[ERR] HDF4 required to process Barlage max snow albedo! Reconfigure LDT with HDF4 support, recompile, and run again!
endrun is being called

We've used HDF5 to compile the executables. Are there any other testcases where HDF4 is not required (or do you suggest we recompile again)?

Thanks

    Re: testcase for LDT

    Hi Ravi,

HDF4 is required to read the max snow albedo dataset for the first step of the public testcases. If you'd like to continue with later steps, however, you can "skip" the first LDT step by renaming the target LDT output file from target_lis_input.nldas.noah36.d01.nc to lis_input.nldas.noah36.d01.nc.

This target output file is included in the *.tar.gz for this step. I don't see this HDF4 dataset being used in later steps so you should be able to continue from there.

If you want some other testcases, our regression testing cases are available here: https://portal.nccs.nasa.gov/lisdata_pub/TESTING/testcases/data/7.3/r/

Note that the suffixes on the files indicate the compiler used to generate the output (e.g., -intel19, -gnu93). There may be slight differences between outputs from different compilers.

    Good luck!

    Best,

    Brendan
