A shared library libsz.so.2 is not found

Hi,

I checked out "GEOSagcm-Eros_8_0" from source-motel. Compilation and running model on Discover were successful, but there is a problem in post processing.I guess that post processing program "time_ave_Linux.x" is supposed to locate "libsz.so.2" in $/Linux/lib (/usr/local/other/baselibs/ESMF220rp2_NetCDF362b6_9.1.052/Linux/lib). However, there is no such kind of the shared library (*.so) in the directory. I think, for this reason, the post process stops abruptly. What I can only find are libsz.a and libsz.la in the directory. How can I solve this issue?

Thanks

    Re: A shared library libsz.so.2 is not found

    Can you please provide the output of the following script (cut and paste to discover) and answer the questions therein?

    Thank you

    #!/bin/csh -f

    if ( $#argv < 1 ) then
      echo "Usage: $0 <GEOS5 installation path>
      exit 0
    endif

    set inspath = $1

    echo USER:
    echo =====
    finger $USER
    echo MODULES:
    echo ========
    /usr/bin/modulecmd csh list
    echo BASELIBS:
    echo =========
    echo $BASEDIR
    echo MODEL/TAG:
    echo ==========
    echo $inspath
    cat $inspath/src/CVS/Tag
    echo
    echo ==========
    echo Please provide answers/actions to the following:
    echo Is $inspath accessible by others? If not please change the permissions.
    echo Do you have log file of your installation (usually in $inspath/src)?
    echo Where is your -work- directory (e.g. $NOBACKUP)?
    echo Is it accessible by others? If not please change the permissions.
    echo =========="

    Re: A shared library libsz.so.2 is not found

    I am trying to recreate your problem but before I go any further I would like to know what is the output of running time_ave.x. Please do the following, execute:

    ./src/GMAO_Shared/GEOS_Util/post/time_ave.x

    If you get the same error as in post processing (running gcm_post.j) then it is likely that you are simply building and running with incorrect baselibs.
